- For EACH of the previous five years (i.e. 2019/20, 2020/21, 2021/22, 2022/23 and 2023/24) please can you tell me: The TOTAL number of attacks on traffic wardens. I wish the figures to be provided in spreadsheet format. If you hold the breakdown of the severity of the attack or any information about the attackers, please provide this.

Scottish Borders Council do not employ any traffic wardens as the enforcement of all On Street issues are the responsibility of Police Scotland at www.scotland.police.uk.. Therefore we give notice under s17 of FOI(S)A 2002 and declare that the information is not held, However Scottish Borders Council do employ parking attendants but only to enforce our Off Street Pay and Display car parks.
