I've got a couple of questions about the confiscation of vaping products in schools; 1. How many vapes/vaping products have been confiscated this school year, Aug 2021 – June 2022?
2. How many vapes/vaping products were confiscated in the school year Aug 2018 – June 2019? - Response
- The information requested is not held centrally. Confiscated vapes would be noted on pastoral notes. To answer your request for information would take a considerable amount of time to complete and would exceed the threshold of cost incurred in responding to an FOI request, and we therefore apply section 12 of FOISA. Additionally, I would like to add that not all schools keep records of this on individual files or elsewhere, it will be part of the every-day good order and running of a school. Should you wish to narrow the scope of your request the Council would be happy to consider a revised request.
