Update on the Community Asset Transfer proposal for Jedderfield Farm

Published: 21st April 2021

Tweedgreen has withdrawn its Community Asset Transfer proposal for Jedderfield Farm on the outskirts of Peebles.

Councillor Robin Tatler, Chair of Peebles Common Good Sub-Committee:

"I would like to thank everyone who took part in the public consultation on this matter, as well as council staff who have worked tirelessly throughout the process.

"The Peebles Common Good Sub-Committee, which is made up of local councillors in the Tweeddale area, recognises the importance of Jedderfield as an asset of the Common Good.

"In terms of a way forward, we are now planning to advertise the property for rent or sale and expect more information on this to be made available in due course.

“In the meantime, the farm’s grazing lets will continue to be in place to secure income for the Common Good and ensure that the land does not deteriorate until a decision regarding its future is made.
