Over £25m of funding provided to local businesses

COVID-19 Business Support

Published: Friday, 29th May 2020

Over £25m of business grants have been provided to local firms through the Scottish Government’s Business Support Fund, which we manage locally.

Over 2.2k applications to this fund have been approved, while 119 applications to the Newly Self Employed Hardship Fund have been successful.

Online application forms for both schemes can be found on our website.

Tracey Logan, Chief Executive

"The number of applications to the Business Support Fund we have been receiving has slowed down over recent weeks, but we still estimate that almost 1,000 other businesses could be eligible for this support.

“I’d urge any business that is in need and is eligible to apply as soon as possible.

“A wide variety of business support is available and our experience is that very few local firms are not eligible for any of it, so please do check the Find Business Support website for all the funding support that is available right now.”
