Waste and recycling collections
Residents are thanked for their recycling efforts throughout 2019. In line with the Millions of Reasons to Recycle campaign, we are asking households to continue to recycle over the festive period, which will see some changes to waste services.
For the most up-to-date information on any domestic collection please use our online postcode look-up tool.
There will be no general, recycling and food waste collections on 25 December and 1 January.
All Wednesday collections will be rescheduled either earlier or later that week.
Some Thursday collections may also be rescheduled to another day.
Trade general waste and recycling collections due Wednesdays 25 December and 1 January will be rescheduled to Fridays 27 and 3 January respectively.
Collections due Thursdays 26 December and 2 January will be rescheduled to Mondays 30 and 6 January respectively.
Any trade general and recycling waste in Selkirk normally collected on Wednesdays or Thursdays week beginning 23 and 30 December will be uplifted earlier, on Tuesdays 24 and 31 December.
Trade food and fortnightly general waste and recycling collections will be the same as the domestic festive schedule.
