Nominations invited for Hawick Community Council

Nominations are being invited from anyone interested in joining Hawick Community Council.

Nominations will be accepted from this Friday (16 August) until 9am on Monday 2 September.

Your community council in Hawick

The community council consists of a maximum of 15 members. In the event of there being more nominations than places, a ballot will be held.

From Friday, you can get a nomination form from:

Community Council election

An election is required after membership of the community council fell to six following recent resignations.

In terms of our Community Council Scheme, a community council shall cease to operate when the membership falls to less than half.
