Our Instrumental Music Service is holding a showcase concert in Melrose Parish Church on 18 March at 7.30pm
Young musicians from the Scottish Borders Wind Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble and Junior Wind Band are set to deliver a stellar performance.

Tickets are available at the door - £6 each or £4 for concessions.
Showcase concert highlights
These young people represent all of the region’s high schools and many of the primaries. They will be playing a wide variety pieces including:
- traditional Scottish
- works by 16th century Italian composer Palestrina
- Boney M
The Guitar Ensemble and the Wind Orchestra have been invited to play at the Royal Highland Show in June.

Calling Scottish Borders young musicians
The Instrumental Music Service will soon be recruiting for their next session and are on the lookout for young instrumentalists interested in joining a music ensemble. As well as being able to develop ensemble and performing skills, pupils will have the chance to take part in courses and residential weekends supported by the PTA Borders Young Musicians. A range of social activities are also provided along with the opportunity to make new friends.
