Councillor Sandy Aitchison, Executive Member for Neighbourhoods and Locality Services

“Last year’s event was so successful we brought it back with even more stalls and entertainment on offer in 2018.

“The day is all about fun but it will also have an educational role in providing plenty of information on responsible dog ownership.

“It is important we all work together to ensure we have as many responsible dog owners as possible in the Borders, which in turn will reduce issues around out of control dogs, dog fouling, stray dogs and anti-social behaviour.

“I am looking forward to a great day for the whole family to kick off the school holidays and would encourage as many people as possible to attend.”
