Our Executive Committee will meet in Hawick on Tuesday 17 April for the Economic Development themed meeting.
Among the items to be discussed are the Hawick Action Plan, Town Centre Regeneration Action Plan, and Hawick and East Berwickshire member working groups.
Discussion on South of Scotland Economic Partnership
The meeting, which is open to the public, will be held at the Lesser Town Hall at 11am and will also include a discussion with Prof Russel Griggs, Chairman of the South of Scotland Economic Partnership.
This follows a breakfast stakeholder engagement event in the town’s Heart of Hawick organised by the Economic Partnership.
Councillor Mark Rowley, Executive Member for Business and Economic Development
“I am delighted that we are able to take this meeting of the Economic Development themed Executive Committee to Hawick.
“In addition to tying in with the important South of Scotland Economic Partnership engagement event for business, community groups, the third sector and individuals, the agenda includes a number of Hawick specific items and this provides local businesses and residents with the opportunity to come and find out more about some important areas of work for the town."
Other agenda items include a general Economic Development update and a paper on the Borderlands Inclusive Growth Deal.
