Canine stunt team Les Amis d’Onno have been added to the entertainment for the first Family and Dog Fun Day we have run.

The event takes place on Friday 7 July in Hawick’s Wilton Lodge Park from 11am to 4pm.

Les Amis d'Onno

Founded in 1999 in France, Les Amis is now based at Lanton near Jedburgh.

The troupe have performed across the UK and Ireland with their equine and dog stunt teams, including game fairs, agricultural shows, country shows and medieval events.

Other entertainment

?There is plenty other entertainment on offer on the day, including a fun dog show, which owners are encouraged to enter their pets in. All shapes, sizes and dog abilities are welcome.

People will also be able to get information about responsible dog ownership and SBC’s own Green Dog Walker scheme, while free health checks and microchipping for a small fee will be available, subject to availability.

There will be activities for the whole family including a children’s colouring competition, doggie dash, tombola, competition prizes and the Chirnside Canines’ dog agility team.

Confirmed charities attending the fun day include Arthurshiel Rescue Centre, Borders Pet Rescue, Guide Dogs Scotland and PDSA.

Councillor Sandy Aitchison, Executive Member for Neighbourhoods and Locality Services

“We hope the addition of the talented troupe Les Amis d’Onno to the already packed schedule will encourage even more people to attend the first Family and Dog Fun Day at Wilton Lodge Park.

“While there is plenty entertainment and stalls for people and their pets to get involved in, there will also be important information offered on responsible dog ownership, in line with the Council’s strategy on this issue.”

An entry form for the fun dog show is available at our website
