Three adult learners from Hawick have successfully gained SQA qualifications after completing a course of learning.

Jim Domingo and Keith McGeorge have obtained their SQA Level 3 in ICT. Gary Montgomery has achieved his SQA Level 4 in Communications.

They completed the course with help from the Community Learning and Development Team.

The group agreed that they were all much more confident about using computers now and are looking forward to building on their skills.

Jim Domingo

“I didn’t have anything to do with computers before starting this group and now I’ve bought my own laptop.”

Keith McGeorge

“It’s like night and day from when I started this course to where I am now.”

Councillor Vicky Davidson, Executive Member for Culture, Sport, Youth and Communities

“Many congratulations to Jim, Keith and Gary on their achievements. I have no doubt they worked extremely hard to earn their success and hope they are justifiably proud of the results. They are testament to the fact that it is never too late to learn and I wish them every success with whatever they choose to do with their qualifications.”
