The Community Fund is changing. Each of our five Area Partnerships (Berwickshire, Cheviot, Eildon, Teviot and Liddesdale and Tweeddale) now have the flexibility to adapt the Community Fund scheme in their area.
The Community Fund will continue to provide support to voluntary and community groups that are active within their communities and assist communities or interest groups with the development of community based projects, however the fund may be changing in your area.
Working groups are considering how they would like to adapt the fund to meet local funding needs. Any amendments will need to be approved by your local Area Partnership and the final decision of any funding applications will remain with the Area Partnership.
The Berwickshire Community Fund 2021-22 is now open. It provides support and assistance with the development of community-based projects for voluntary and community groups that are active within their communities.
Community groups who wish to take forward activity that will be of benefit to the local community can apply for grants up to the value of £5k. The impact your project makes needs to be measurable in terms of both number of community members benefiting and the scale of that benefit.
Applications will be assessed by an assessment panel who will then make funding recommendations to the Berwickshire Area Partnership.
A total of £57,260 is available with £19,086 available in each of three funding rounds.
Funding recommendations for 2021-22 will be considered at the Berwickshire Area Partnership meetings in September, December and March.
There is one application form for all organisations. Please read the guidelines for information on who is eligible to apply and the assessment sheet to make sure you provide the assessment panel with all the information required, with any supporting documents requested. These documents are available to download.
Applications will only be assessed once all supporting documents have been received.
If you do not meet these basic criteria, please contact BAVS by phone 01361 883 137 for further advice and guidance.
