Business rates bills are issued every year in the middle of April. New bills will be issued during the year if there are changes to your account.
Details of the amounts due are shown on your bill. Business rates can be paid in 10 monthly instalments (due on the first of each month from May to February) or in a single payment.
If you chose to defer payment until 1 October of the current year you can:
- pay your account in full as a one off payment
- if you bring your account up to date (pay all money due from May to October) you can then pay the remainder of your instalments monthly from November until February
Direct debit payments
If you pay by Direct Debit you can chose from the folowing payments dates:
- weekly every Friday
- monthly in 10 or 12 instalments on 1, 5, 15 or 25 of the month
- in a single payment on first of the month following receipt of your completed direct debit mandate
It is essential that payments are made on or before the due date, you must not allow your payments to fall into arrears.
