We publish regular updates on the economic environment of the Scottish Borders and analysis in the context of the wider Scottish and UK economy.

The main publication is the economic bulletin which contains the latest unemployment indicators and a Quarterly Bulletin that also examines other key economic indicators and tracks their performance.

The approved Economic Strategy and Action Plan provide a clear plan for the development of the local economy. The shared vision is that by 2023 the Scottish Borders will be amongst the best performing and most productive rural economies in Scotland. The plan is focused on four strategic aims:
