About Teviot and Liddesdale
Teviot and Liddesdale has the smallest population of the five areas at 17,965. It covers the main towns and villages of:
- Hawick (14,003)
- Newcastleton (757)
- Denholm (625)
These 3 settlements account for 86% of the area’s population. The remaining population lives in smaller settlements such as Teviothead, Minto and Bonchester Bridge or in isolated farmsteads and hamlets. Much of the area covers sparsely inhabited forest and moorland. Hawick is the largest town in Scottish Borders.
Area partnerships are meetings designed to help you find out more about local services, and give you the chance to tell us what you think. Teviot and Liddesdale area partnership is chaired by Cllr Stuart Marshall and meets monthly in Hawick Town Hall.
