Visitor and spectator information
We’re delighted that you are planning on attending the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships this August. If you haven’t already, you can get your tickets online.
For more details of the events taking place in the Tweed Valley and FAQs please visit www.glentress2023.com
Fringe programme
A diverse range of fringe activities has been developed and organised by businesses, local groups and organisations, including ourselves and Live Borders.
These complement the Championship events at Glentress and provide opportunities for both local people and visitors to enjoy events and activities away from the racing itself.
A fringe programme is available to download.
Travel information
Details on how to reach the venue by bike has been produced by Sustrans, while a full Venue Spectator Guide is also available with lots of helpful information for spectators.
Wherever possible we want to encourage spectators to make use of active travel options e.g. walking and cycling, to get to the event venue, or public transport.
No spectator parking will be available at Glentress itself so please make use of the park and ride sites. Full details are in the Venue Spectator Guide. Please note that the Chapel Hill and Haylodge Park park and ride facilities will not be open until Thursday 10 August at the earliest due to ground conditions.
Stay and explore
Why don’t you stay a little longer and explore all that the Scottish Borders has to offer: our coastline, our castles, world class visitor attractions, award winning independent shops, and outdoor activities for all ages and abilities.
For accommodation information please check the Go Tweed Valley, Scotland Starts Here and VisitScotland websites.
These sites also include a wide range of other visitor information, including suggestions about other local attractions and things to do across the Scottish Borders.
