**MOBILE LIBRARIES NEWS**
One of our vehicles has been deemed unroadworthy and has been decommissioned.
Therefore, as of now we will only have one library van to service 2 routes (rather than the normal two). During the school holidays the school mobile library will be re-tasked to run the mobile routes to bring capacity back to normal. However, from Monday 15th April until Friday 7th June there will be some periods when the routes will be on a four weekly service rather than a fortnightly service. We will increase the number of books that customers can borrow and extend the lending time during this period.
After 7th June the school mobile library will be available to be reassigned and the service will return to operating 2 routes serviced on a fortnightly basis.
The good news is we have worked in close partnership with Scottish Borders Council to procure two new mobile vans. Delivery of them is expected in August 2024, we can’t wait to show them off around the Scottish Borders!
The Connect and Collect service is growing, now with alternative pick up locations.
As well as hopping on board and browsing the shelves, you can pre-select your books using our Connect and Collect Service! This is a great alternative to allow you to browse the full catalogue in the comfort of your own home. If you live in Morebattle, Oxton or Ancrum you can now collect your books from the community shops at a time convenient to you, just select MBLIB as the pick up location when you order online.
