Council Tax

Billing and collection of the Council Tax is the responsibility of the Revenues and Benefits Service. Help and advice is available on liability, discounts, exemptions, payments and settling arrears.

Council Tax Benefit

People receiving state benefits or on a low income may be entitled to get help to pay their Council Tax by applying for Council Tax Benefit. Information, advice and application forms are available at all Council Contact Centres.

Countryside Ranger Service

The Countryside Ranger Service helps both locals and visitors understand and enjoy the Scottish Borders countryside.

Criminal Justice Service

The Criminal Justice Team is part of the Social Work Services Department. They are responsible for statutory assessment and supervision of adult offenders (aged 16 and over) who have been referred by the Courts, the Procurator Fiscal and the Parole Board.
