The Whiteadder watersports centre is situated within the Lammermuir Hills between Gifford and Duns.
The centre offers a safe sailing area with fresh, constant winds, it is the ideal place both to learn to sail, or for enthusiasts to enjoy.
It is managed by our Outdoor Education Department and new visitors as well as regulars are always welcome.
It is modern and fully equipped with an impressive array of boats available for use. Spacious changing rooms along with all the equipment needed to sail are provided.
Fully qualified RYA instructors are always on hand during sailing school hours to offer informal hints and tips or to instruct a wide range of formal courses.
Fly-fishing for wild brown trout
With a backdrop of the Lammermuir Hills the Whiteadder reservoir is also perfect for fishing. The reservoir provides fishing from both bank and boat.
Boats are bookable through Fishery Manager and bank permits from the machines positioned at the new sailing lodge and by the entrance to the dam.
Prices
- Boats - £20 for 2 rods, £12 for 1 rod
- £15 for parent and child sharing limit
- Bank - £8 full, £6 concession
- £10 for parent and children sharing limit
- Season Boat/Season Tickets, enquiries welcome from individual clubs and syndicates
- Machines accept coins (£1 and £2).
Rule
A 6 fish limit then catch and release (10"/25cm min size).
