History and Highlights
Housed in an historic spa, the exhibitions tell the story of Innerleithen and St Ronan’s Wells, describing their connections with the great Scottish writers, Sir Walter Scott and James Hogg. The origins of the unique Cleikium ceremonies held in July each year are also explored.
In 2007 the gardens surrounding the spa featured in the BBC television Beechgrove Garden programme and throughout 2008 the gardens will continue to be developed and enhanced with new plantings and an exhibition of sculpture.
