Scenic Driving Page

River Tweed at Galashiels  by JLW The Borders covers some of the most varied countryside in the country and you can sample a lot of it by road. From rolling hills through wild moorland and gentle farming country to rugged coastline, the Borders has it all.

We have chosen four scenic routes for you to try that take you through all of the features mentioned above. All are under 100 miles in length and start and end at the one of the larger towns in the north, south, east or west of the area. We have pointed out just some of the features along the way and some short diversions you may want to take, but for a fuller day out, consult the local tourist information office.
