Play Areas and Equipment
The Council maintains public parks, public open spaces and floral displays, sports pitches and other outdoor sports facilities.
We maintain all adopted play areas and have produced a modernisation programme for them. At the planning stage, we discuss with developers a contribution for play area provision and maintenance in new housing developments in an attempt to develop a standard, which can be applied Borders wide. We also participate in the review of play areas and youth leisure provision.
The Council's Parks and Open Spaces Service manages play areas and equipment.
