How can I find out about the availability of a hall and pick up an application form?
For information on the availability of a hall or room, or to obtain a booking form, please either contact the appropriate venue or contact us.
Can I make a provisional booking?
A provisional booking can be made over the telephone by calling the appropriate venue or by calling central enquiries on Tel: 01835 826530. A booking is only confirmed when a signed booking form is received.
Will I need to book preparation and clear up time?
Yes you should consider this when making your booking as you will be charged for this time.
Will I receive a booking confirmation?
No, you must retain the pink page of your booking form. It is also advisable to phone the venue to confirm that your form has been received.
Is there a cancellation charge?
There will be a cancellation fee of 50% of the full hire charge. If the let is cancelled within 1 month prior to the let there will be a cancellation charge of 100% of the full hire charge.
A signed letter cancelling a booking should be sent to the Venues office.
How do I pay for my booking?
An invoice will be issued following the event. For all recurring bookings invoices will be issued on a regular basis.
How do I make changes or cancel my booking?
Any amendments or cancellations must be made in writing to the Venues office.
How do I arrange seating for a booking?
You can enclose a seating plan with your booking and liaise with the caretaker in advance of your event.
Do I need a licence to sell alcohol?
If a publican is running the bar then they should have the appropriate licence. If you run the bar privately then you will need to obtain an occasional licence from the Licensing Board.
Are commercial bookings charged at a higher rate?
Yes. Commercial bookings are charged at double rate.
Are there any additional charges?
Depending on your requirements there may be additional costs to consider such as the hire of a piano, an overhead projector, stage lighting and performing rights.
How do I gain access to the hall?
A caretaker will open and close the premises for you at the times requested on the booking form.
