Works at Galashiels Waste Transfer Station

Recycling centre will remain open while alterations are made.
Alteration works will take place at Galashiels Waste Transfer Station between 16 January and 12 February 2012. This will increase the capacity for items which are going to be recycled.
During this period the usual waste disposal point in the community recycling centre will not be available for use. An alternative disposal point will be provided and some of the other containers and disposal points at the site will be changed and moved temporarily.
We will do our best to keep the site operating as normally as possible and accept all waste types during this period. However at times - particularly weekends - people may find that it takes a little longer to dispose of their waste while containers are emptied. The nearest alternative community recycling centres are Selkirk and Eshiels, near Peebles.
