    Scottish Borders Council (SBC) hosted a reception at the Buccleuch Arms Hotel in St Boswells on Tuesday 24 November to welcome representatives from three municipalities from Sweden - Bollebygd, Vargarda, Mellerud – who are visiting the Borders for a youth democracy study visit from 24 - 27 November.

    The Scottish Government today informed Scottish Borders Council (SBC) that it would not be calling in plans to develop the Borders’ first crematorium at the Wairds cemetery in Melrose. The news has been widely welcomed by members of the Council.
