New football website will keep local players informed

Wednesday, August 10 2005

The Scottish Football Association Development team at Scottish Borders Council has launched a football website to keep local players informed about courses and events in the region.

It is hoped that in future parents will be able to use the new website to book their children onto courses on-line.

Dougie Anderson, Scottish Borders Council's SFA Youth Development Officer for the Borders, said, "We are delighted to be able to launch a website that aims to offer easy access for all football participants in the Scottish Borders. Youngsters who do not have access to a computer at home can get on-line at local libraries or school. It is important we use efficient methods of communication in this day and age to promote our range of football activities to parents and youngsters alike and in providing this website we feel we have achieved these objectives."
