Photography Exhibition at Eastgate Theatre
Wednesday, May 21 2008
The Eastgate Theatre in Peebles is the venue for an exhibition of photographs taken by members of Victoria Park Centre, a day support service for people with learning disabilities.
This exhibition is an opportunity for members of the Victoria Park photography group to show off their creativity through a series of images of various locations and areas of interest around Peebles.
A photography group has been running at Victoria Park since September 2006 when session worker Brian Cassidy began teaching group members the basics. Initially, the group experimented with styles and camera settings before moving on to creating their own images. Since then, each member of the group has developed a portfolio of their own work and collectively produced a calendar.
The exhibition runs until 30 June and is open to members of the public Monday to Saturday from 10.00am-5.00pm.
