Consultation on Kelso town centre traffic

Monday, April 21 2008

Scottish Borders Council is considering ways of changing the way traffic moves around the centre of Kelso, making improvements for both pedestrians and motorists.

An exhibition of first ideas of how improvements could be made to the way the town centre currently operates will be held on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 April in the Oak Room of the Cross Keys Hotel. The exhibition will be open between 10am and 6pm on the Friday and 10am and 1pm on the Saturday.

This is the first step in a full consultation process that will give everyone the chance to have their say in how the centre of the town could be improved. If changes are supported a full investigation into costs will be carried out - no financial commitment has been made for this project as yet.
