Locals urged to contribute to future of Graham Institute

Wednesday, January 30 2008

Members of the community interested in the future of the Graham Institute in West Linton are being invited to a Community Engagement Evening in the hall on Wednesday 6 February from 6:30pm - 9pm.

Executive member for Education, Councillor Catriona Bhatia, will host the informal evening to give members of the public the opportunity to see the proposed plans for the building and find out more about its future.

She explained why the evening is important for locals: “We are very keen to gather locals’ views on the future of what is a very important building in the heart of the community. I would like to urge as many people as possible to come along to see the plans and make their opinions known.  This gives us the very important opportunity to then ensure their views are represented in future proposals.”

Various Council officials will be present to discuss proposals and members of the public will be able to submit comments via a comments box on the night.
