Friday, October 5 2007

A free computer course covering computer basics; word processing, use of email, searching the internet, booking travel and shopping online is being offered at Hawick library. The course has been developed for people with little or no experience of computers.

The course started on Wednesday 3 October at Hawick Library and runs from 10a.m – 12 noon for 10 weeks. The first class attracted a good turnout but places are still available.

The course is aimed at people who are seeking work, or working under 16 hours a week – and of working age.

If you are interested ring Ashley Fraser on 01450 377799 to find out more or you can drop into Hawick Library and talk directly to Ashley.

The course is supported by Scottish Borders Council, the Library Service and the European Social Fund’s Rural Adult Learning.
