Community Café named by Langlee pupil

Wednesday, September 26 2007

The Community Café at the Langlee complex in Galashiels has finally been named as The Roundabout after a competition was held to name the new facility, which opened in March this year.

The competition attracted a large number of entries but the winner was Primary six pupil from Langlee Primary School, Glenn McPherson. Glenn received a gift voucher and his very own Roundabout polo-shirt.

The café, which is funded by the Scottish Executive’s Regeneration Outcome Agreement (ROA), offers a wide range of training and social opportunities for the Langlee community and serves healthy lunches and snacks. Opening times for the café are currently Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 10a.m. – 2p.m.
