Reserve your chance to read some Harry Potter magic

Friday, July 20 2007

As if by magic the new Harry Potter book, ‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ by J K Rowling, will be appearing on library shelves throughout the Scottish Borders next week following its publication at midnight on Saturday 21 July.

Scottish Borders Council library staff have signed an embargo to promise that the new books will not be released before then, however, they will use the fastest owls and latest broomstick delivery services to speed the books on their way to libraries and mobile libraries.

Libraries are already receiving requests for the books, so if you want to read the new book as soon as possible, please call in at your local library and ask the librarian to wave a magic wand to reserve your copy!

For more information, please contact the Youth Services Team at Library Headquarters on 01750 20842.
