Scottish Borders Council Administration Announced

The new Administration at Scottish Borders Council was revealed today (Friday 11 May 2007).
It brings together an aligned coalition of the Scottish Conservatives, the Scottish Liberal Democrats and the Aligned Independent Members, and is being welcomed as a great deal for the Borders.
The partnership agreement is based on a robust policy agenda, details of which will be fleshed out over the next few days.
Today’s press conference was hosted by:
- Councillor Carolyn Riddell-Carre, Leader of the Conservative Group
- Councillor Alec Nicol, Leader of the Liberal Democrats Group
- Councillor David Parker, Leader of the Independent Members
- Councillor Catriona Bhatia, Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats Group
- Councillor Neil Calvert, Deputy Leader of the Conservative Group
- Councillor Graham Garvie, Chair of the Liberal Democrats Group
- Councillor Alasdair Hutton
