Romance In The Air At Kelso Library

Friday, February 2 2007

Borders’ romantics are being encouraged to attend a “Sweet Nothings” event on Wednesday 14 February to celebrate Valentine’s Day in Kelso library.

People are being asked to bring along their three favourite love poems to share with like-minded people and to record their most poignant romantic lines from a song or poem on a display of pink hearts.

Councillor Val Robson, Portfolio Holder for Education and Lifelong Learning, said “This is an innovative idea from the staff at Kelso library to bring people who are interested in sharing poetry together. Valentine’s Day gives us an opportunity to bring love and romance into the equation and we hope that many local people will take this opportunity to share their favourite pieces with others.”

The event will run between 3.30 pm and 4.30 pm and can be booked by phoning Kelso library on 01573 223171 or online
