Friends of Kelso Library Readers Group

At the Readers Group meeting in Kelso Library on Tuesday 30th May members discussed "A Town Like Alice", written by Nevil Shute.  Most had read the book before but considered it well worth a second read.

The poem "My Last Duchess" by Robert Browning was also read and most agreed it was a better poem than the previously read "Lady of Shallot" - Perhaps because it was a more believable story, a jealous husband annoyed if his lady looked at anyone else, and settling it all with murder!

The next meeting is at Kelso Library on Tuesday 27th June at 2.30pm.  In a change of format members will be able to choose from a selection of books, then return them so that others can also read them.

All Welcome, bring along a favourite poem or passage from a book to read and discuss why you enjoyed it.
