Galashiels childminder reaches 25-year milestone

A Galashiels resident has recently completed a quarter century of childminding, caring for almost 90 children.
Janette Bunyan was presented with a bouquet by some of her colleagues, charges and their parents in appreciation of her 25 years' service as a childminder.
Jill Hosker, Development Officer for the Scottish Childminding Association, said, "Janette has cared for almost 90 children during her long career as a childminder. She still sees many of these children, who are now grown up and friends of her own children. She has dried many tears over the years, and not just the children's - many parents have come to her for support as well.
"Janette has seen great changes in her time as a childminder, particularly the amount of paperwork regulations have brought,
but she hasn't let that put her off. Janette still attends most if not all training that is offered by Scottish Childminding
Association, as she recognises that there is always something new to learn."
