New Ways seminar to examine biofuel opportunities

Tuesday, May 30 2006

A New Ways seminar for land managers who are interested in diversifying into biofuels is being held at Tweed Horizons, Newtown St Boswells, on Thursday, 8 June.

The seminar will look at the business opportunities and the potential barriers to setting up in the biofuels business. Representatives from two leading UK biofuel producers, Rural Generation Ltd and Frontier Agriculture Ltd, will recount their experiences of securing success in this increasingly popular, environmentally friendly market.

The seminar will also detail the Renewable Transport Fuel Obligation, which comes into effect in April 2008, and the Scottish Executive's perspective on biofuels.
