Easter school sports programme kicks off

Tuesday, March 21 2006

Scottish Borders Council's Easter Sports Programme for school children kicks off on April 3 for the two weeks of the school holidays.

Action-packed, educational and fun, this Easter programme is the most extensive ever organised by SBC's Sports Development Unit and the Active Schools Co-ordinator, providing an excellent opportunity for children to take part in organised activities throughout the break.

The line-up includes football, tennis, rugby, athletics, gymnastics, hockey, tennis, badminton, basketball, cricket, dance and trail cycling, at a variety of locations around the Borders.

All the courses are led by fully qualified coaches, ensuring that the programme is professionally organised, as well as fun.

Courses are open to specified age groups, and costs vary depending upon the course.

For more information and a leaflet with application form, contact SBC's Sports Development Unit, 3 St John Street, Galashiels TD1 3JX. Tel: 01896 756274. Or visit our website at www.scotborders.gov.uk
