Wheelchair access throughout the building, including accessible toilet. As there are uneven surfaces both indoors and around the building, assistance may be required.

History and Highlights

As featured on the television programme ‘Most Haunted’. 

Get a taste of life behind bars in this 1820s jail – a model prison in its day but now a bit spooky! Also discover the history of the Royal Burgh of Jedburgh. An impressive building with fine views.

Audio tour, foreign language and children’s guides, audio-visual display on ground floor for wheelchair users.
Licensed as a venue for weddings and civil ceremonies.
