Public Parks and Floral Displays

The Council maintains public parks, public open spaces and floral displays, sports pitches and other outdoor sports facilities. Sports pitches and facilities can be hired for use by individuals and organisations.

Gardens 

In addition, we have a number of beautiful public gardens, some of which have regularly won national awards.

Floral Gateway

The Scottish Borders has an annual competition for local communities called the Floral Gateway.  For details of the competition and past winners see the Floral Gateway pages.

Play Areas 

We maintain all adopted play areas and equipment much of which can be found in public parks. For more information, please contact  the Parks and Open Spaces Service.

Hire of floral displays/hanging baskets

The general public or businesses can hire floral displays (as either a half display or a full display) and hanging baskets. For further information about this, please call 01896 661770.

Cleansing

The Council's Parks and Open Spaces Service manages public parks, public open spaces and floral displays. For minor day-to-day cleansing issues in parks and open spaces, contact SBLocal.
