Scottish Borders Structure Plan
The Structure Plan provides the long-term vision and strategy for development in the Scottish Borders. It also provides an overview of the development needs in the area. The Structure Plan establishes the overall supply of land that is required for a range of uses, principally housing and employment land. It does not specify precise locations for land uses - this is the function of the Local Plan. The Local Plan must conform with the development strategy shown in the Structure Plan.
