Adopted Local Plan
Copies of the Scottish Borders Adopted Local Plan 2008 are now available to view at Council Headquarters, Newtown St Boswells and Area Offices in Duns, Galashiels, Hawick and Peebles.
The full version of the Plan is also available from this site in PDF format.
On 20 March 2008 the Council agreed the final modifications to be incorporated into the Local Plan for formal adoption. Copies of the Plan were sent to the Scottish Ministers on 1 July 2008 informing them of the intention to adopt the Plan. The Local Plan was formally adopted on 4 September 2008.
