Windfarm Database

The Planning Department maintains a database of all windfarm proposals in the Scottish Borders.  The database includes information on planning applications, Section 36 applications and sites that have had screening and scoping opinions issued.  The locations of these sites is shown on this map.   

 

Windfarm Screening and Scoping Opinions

 

The following is a list of all of the screening and scoping opinions issued by the Planning Department in respect of windfarm proposals in the Scottish Borders:

 

•         Alemill Farm, Eyemouth

•         Blackburn Farm, Grantshouse

•         Blaewaerie, Clovenfords

•         Bowbeat Hill, Eddleston

•         Brunta Hill, Lauder

•         Corbie Shank, Craik Forest (information not available at this time)

•         Forth Array, Offshore, NE of Berwickshire Coast

•         Frogden Farm, Frogden, Kelso

•         Greenvale, Duns

•         Housebyres, North of Galashiels

•         Hyndhope / Alemoor (extension to Langhope Rig)

•         Kelloe Mains Farm, Duns

•         Kinegar Quarry, Cockburnspath

•         Leithope, Carter Bar

•         Middle Hill, Tweesmuir

•         Monashee, Grantshouse

•         North Common, Selkirk

•         Penmanshiel Moor, Grantshouse

•         Standhill, Denholm (scoping opinion sought not issued yet)

•         Spurlins Rig, Leadburn

•         Sunwick Farm, Hutton

•         Whitton, Morebattle

 

The list does not include information on sites where subsequent to an opinion being issued a planning application or Section 36 application has been lodged.
