The most important checklist:

  •  Contact  the District Registrar to request civil partnership notices approximately three months before your proposed civil partnership registration.
  •  Return completed civil partnership notices to the District Registrar approximately six weeks before the date of    your civil partnership registration.
  • Remember that your notices must be displayed for 15 clear days.
  • Confirm all the arrangements with the person conducting your civil partnership registration. If you have chosen a ceremony, confirm all the arrangements with the Government Officer conducting your civil partnership ceremony.
  • At the time of the registration, you will be asked to sign the civil partnership schedule in permanent black ink.
  • Your civil partnership extract is collected or posted.
