Working Groups Remit
Childcare Development
- To plan and deliver the development of a high quality, comprehensive childcare service in Scottish Borders to meet the needs
of parents and children, up to the age of 14, in terms of accessibility and affordability.
Training and Quality Assurance
- To respond to training needs across the pre school education and childcare service by the provision of appropriate, high quality
training opportunities for both potential and existing childcare workers.
- To establish access to appropriate quality assurance framework for providers in the sector and promote these to all settings.
Publicity and Information/Children's Information Service
- To develop and implement the communication strategy for the partnership governing both internal and external communication
and including publicity to raise the profile of the partnership with providers and other professional agencies and organisations.
- To promote the work of the Childcare Partnership.
- To oversee and promote the Children's Information Service.
