Princess Royal Trust Borders Carers Centre

The Princess Royal Trust Borders Carers Centre provides advice, information and emotional support to those caring for relatives, friends or neighbours who otherwise may be unable to manage at home without help due to illness, disability or frailty.

It is one of a network of Carers Centres throughout the UK and offers a free, impartial, independent and confidential service to carers and former carers.  The help available includes:

  • advice and information on services, benefits, respite, holidays, support groups and much more
  • a listening ear and emotional support
  • help to access services
  • support groups
  • home visits
  • access to funding/grants for carers
  • training
  • a regular newsletter
  • a drop-in facility
  • social activities
  • volunteering opportunities.
