Borders Independent Advocacy Service (BIAS)

BIAS is a free, confidential and independent service offering support to people in the Borders.  They provide support for a wide range of people around a broad range of issues, especially those needing health or social care services.  They also have specialist workers for people with learning disabilities or mental health problems.

When you are looking for support or services, it can sometimes be difficult to get your point across or say how you feel.  It is also hard to know what help might be available and the system can seem very confusing.  BIAS can help you to make informed choices and will ensure your views and concerns are heard.  They will speak on your behalf or help you to speak about your needs to professionals.
