Transforming Older People's Services
Scottish Borders Council has just completed the first stage of a wide ranging review of services for older people. The review
proposes a mixture of some new services, adapting existing services for new purposes and continuing some traditional services
although on a smaller scale. All of the work of the review has been done in partnership with NHS Borders, the Voluntary Sector,
users of our services and their carers. More information is available in Proposals for Future Services (pdf 313kb).
Ageing Well Handbook
Designed to help the over 50s stay healthy, the Ageing Well Handbook contains a wealth of information to help people support and improve their own health and well-being.

Information about other services for older people is also available. These include the Travel Concession Card, Scottish Borders Elder Voice, Winter Fuel Payments and assistance with heating.
