Services for adults who misuse alcohol, drugs and solvents
Sadly, there is a growing trend in the mis-use of drugs, alcohol and solvents in the Borders. We can see the affects on our communities and in the day to day lives of individuals, their familes and friends. The Council is working closely with other agencies to reduce the harm caused by misuse. We want to help people stay as safe and as healthy as possible. We know that when people are ready to stop misusing drugs, alcohol and solvents, they need the right support to get their lives back on track.
If you are worried about a friend, relative or your own use of drugs or alcohol, speak in confidence with your doctor or your local Social Work office. For additional information and advice, you can also contact:

Al-Anon Family Groups

For those affected by someone else's drinking problem. Al-Anon Family Groups hold meetings in Berwick, Hawick and Selkirk.
