Tree Preservation Orders

These are made by the Council to protect trees which make an important contribution to the visual amenity of an area.  They have the status of local by-laws and are normally made where there are concerns that the tree or trees may be damaged or destroyed unless the order is made.  Protection of trees through negotiation and agreement is normally the preferred first option. For more information, please contact our Landscape Architects.
